SAT/ACT TEST PREPARATION

Hamby Associates has been involved in preparing students for college entrance examinations since 1999. Hundreds of students from San Antonio and surrounding areas have participated in courses held three times a year at Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church at 6201 Broadway in San Antonio. Courses begin in August, November, and February, and are offered on Sunday evenings from 6:30 until 9:30.



The course involves review of the academic content tested in the college entrance exams, a presentation of test-taking strategies, and the opportunity to take timed practice tests in a structured setting. Students receive The Official Study Guide published by the College Board and The Real ACT Prep Guide, as well as a vocabulary builder notebook. While helping to assure the achievement of the student's potential on the college entrance exams, the course is designed to improve test-taking skills on all multiple-choice tests. 

Individual and small group tutoring
services are available upon request.


The course is taught by Lynn Hamby, M.A., L.P.C., and Stephen Hudson, M.Ed., both experienced instructors who are knowledgeable about the content and requirements of the college entrance examinations. Once a student has enrolled in one of our courses, he or she may return for subsequent classes at no additional fee. The cost of the course is $695.00.
