MEET OUR STAFF
LYNN W. HAMBY
Lynn is a founder and a partner of Hamby Associates specializing in providing career and educational direction. Having worked with hundreds of high school students through the Highlands Ability Battery, Lynn provides assistance in navigating the college search process as well as in identifying appropriate college majors. She also works with college graduates who are evaluating their options regarding employment or graduate education, and with individuals in various professions seeking to clarify their professional and personal goals. Additionally, she directs the SAT/ACT Preparation Program.
Lynn attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity University in San Antonio. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Affiliate of The Highlands Company.

STEPHEN HUDSON
Steve joined Hamby Associates in 2007 as an instructor for the mathematics portion of the SAT/ACT Preparation Course. He is a member of the math faculty at the Design and Technology Academy located on the campus of Roosevelt High School. Steve is a certified GT instructor and teaches Regular, GT, and PreAP students in the rigorous DATA program. He is also the mathematics instructor at the NEISD Evening High School. While on the faculty at Roosevelt High School, Steve was selected Teacher of the Year.
Steve received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baylor University.
After a career in business, Steve returned to school to earn his teaching certificate and his Master’s degree in Education from Regis University. Steve is also a First Degree Black Belt in Kuk Sool Won, a Korean martial arts form.

BARROW HAMILTON
Barrow holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics as well as an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from Vanderbilt University. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
Barrow's professional experience includes teaching math, physics, and ACT/SAT test preparation courses through the Region 20 Education Center.

DANA HAMILTON
Dana holds a B.A. in Psychology from Vanderbilt University and an M.Ed. from the University of Texas. Her professional experience includes career counseling and academic advising with university students.
Dana is a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified by the Highlands Program to provide ability battery feedback.

JOHN C. HAMBY
John is a founder and a partner of Hamby Associates and directs
both the Corporate and the Clinical areas for the group. Prior to
establishing Hamby Associates in 1990, John served 14 years as
the Clinical Director of the Ecumenical Center for Religion and Health
in San Antonio, Texas. Today John maintains a private psychotherapy
practice in the Alamo Heights area. For the past 15 years, he has been spending more time in the corporate environment working with Boards and their Chief Executive Officers seeking to use his clinical experience to help improve their working relationships. He has authored several proprietary working documents on the roles of governance and the executive office.
John graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He earned both a Master's degree and a Doctoral degree at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas. He completed his clinical training at the Texas Research Institute for Mental Sciences in Houston, Texas. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
